Parents/guardians of students in grades 7-11: We look forward to seeing the majority of you TOMORROW, Saturday, May 10, at OCSA’s Annual Parent Meeting. During this mandatory meeting, school leadership will share a thorough overview of the current state of the school, the vision for the 2025-2026 school year, and the importance of financially supporting your student’s conservatory and academic experience. You will then hear from your student’s conservatory director about their exciting goals and inspired vision for next school year.

Please remember that at least one parent/guardian from each family is required to attend this meeting once per school year as a part of the annual enrollment process. Students: May is Mental Health Awareness Month, which seeks to reduce the stigma associated with mental health and promote support for those affected by mental health conditions. Come show your support for Mental Health Awareness Month next Friday, May 16, during Lunch on 10th Street. There will be games, a Polaroid wall, community resources, a stamp rally, and ice cream for purchase! Participants can enter a raffle for tons of cool prizes, and winners will be announced on Art Attack.

Interested in global issues, debate, or building your leadership skills? Middle and high school students can find out how to join next year’s Model United Nations (MUN) Team at the interest meeting on Wednesday, May 28 at Lunch in the Dance, Music, and Science Center (DMS), Room 114. Come learn what MUN is all about and how to apply for next year’s team.

Attention parents/guardians: Please join us at our annual Elective Showcase held at the Margaret A. Webb Theatre on Wednesday, May 21 during Blocks 1, 2, and 3 and on Thursday, May 22 during Blocks 4, 5, and 6. Free online tickets must be reserved in order to attend. As a reminder, Advanced Placement (AP) testing has begun and will continue through Friday, May 16. Students who have registered for exams received emails this week with detailed instructions for testing, including the time and location of their exams. Students should arrive at the designated location by 7:30 a.m. for the 8:00 a.m. exams. Please remember to check your email.

Season Finale 2025 is almost here! Please join us as we celebrate the outstanding achievements of our dedicated and talented students and faculty. If you have not done so already, purchase your tickets here. Season Finale 2025 will be held at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts on Saturday, May 24 at 7 p.m. You won’t want to miss this unforgettable end-of-the-year showcase!

We hope to see all of our wonderful students returning in the fall, but if you plan to disenroll from OCSA and enroll in another school for the 2025-2026 school year, please make sure you fill out the withdrawal form before Tuesday, June 3.

Calling students from all grade levels and conservatories who love to sing, dance, and/or play an instrument: MONTAGE! is holding auditions for the 2025-2026 school year! MONTAGE! is looking for an enthusiastic group of students to perform around our community and at exciting VIP events, including OCSA’s annual Gala, Tree Lighting performances, and Encore and President’s Circle events. The deadline to submit your accomplishments to be featured in the spring semester edition of State of the Art is Friday, May 16! We want to celebrate your successes on this special webpage that allows us to share the outstanding accomplishments of the OCSA community, including castings, certifications, awards, scholarships, jobs, special performances, and more. Submissions received after Friday, May 16 will be featured in the fall semester. We can’t wait to see all the exciting things you have been up to!

Summer is almost here! Plan ahead for a creative adventure with CSArts Academy classes, held on the campuses of OCSA and our sister school, CSArts-SGV. Tuesday, May 27 – Graduation Distribution, during Lunch and Office Hours in the breezeway (caps, gowns, tassels, tickets, and senior class panoramic pictures distributed to seniors only)

Wednesday, May 28 – Senior Yearbook Distribution (time and place TBA)

Tuesday, June 3 – Textbooks and Devices Return by 1 p.m. (to receive a diploma after Graduation Ceremony)

Tuesday, June 3 – Last Day of School

Thursday, June 5 – Rehearsal at Cottonwood Church, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. (mandatory) 

Thursday, June 5 – Graduation Ceremony, check in no later than 5:15 p.m.

Friday, June 6 – Grad Night at Disney California Adventure Park, tentative check in at 1 p.m. in the DMS Quad (bus mandatory), return to OCSA on Saturday, June 7 tentatively at 3 a.m. (bus mandatory). Times are subject to change.
