LAGUNA ALUMNI SHARE COLLEGE EXPERIENCES WITH UPPER SCHOOL STUDENTS
Last Friday, a group of esteemed Laguna graduates returned to campus for our annual alumni panel. During this insightful session, these former students shared their unique college journeys, emphasizing the pivotal role Laguna played in their preparation. They also provided current students with valuable advice about the college search process, time management, and connecting with professors. The Upper School Sock Club is launching its annual Warm Things Drive from January 8-17 for people experiencing homelessness. They need warm clothing items (see flyer). Directed by Theater Instructor & Performing Arts Department Chair Dana Caldwell, Upper School students bring Emma to the stage, a highly theatrical adaptation of one of Jane Austen's greatest novels. The story revolves around Emma Woodhouse, a clever young woman whose misguided assurance in her matchmaking skills leads to numerous romantic mishaps. Tickets are $10 for students and $15 for general admission.

BOYS VARSITY BASKETBALL TAKES DOWN PROVIDENCE 62-22
Last Friday, the Boys Varsity Basketball team hosted a game against Providence. Both teams played hard the first half but the Owls lead the team to a dominant 62-22 win. Shout out to Charlie Sheldon '24, Eka Nayak '24, Ganden Walker '24 leading the charge with 14, 14, and 13 points respectively. Go Owls!

BOYS VARSITY SOCCER CRUISES TO 5-0 WIN AGAINST BONAVENTURE
Boys Varsity Soccer dominated against St Bonaventure on Saturday with a 5-0 win. Baylor WIlson '26 scored the first goal in the 15th minute. In the second half, Isaac Duron '26 scored two goals, Gabriel Lea '24 and Cole Murphy '24 scored one each. Go Owls!

Last Friday, the Middle School Grades 4/5 Girls Basketball team brought home an exciting win against Providence with a score of 12-10. Go Owls!

Boys Varsity team dominated all facets of the match on Tuesday in a 7-0 victory against Villanova. Shout out to Baylor Wilson '26 (two goals), Alex McClintock '26, Cole Murphy '24 (two goals), Inak Philips '27, and Gabriel Lea '24. Go Owls!

Congratualaitons to the Girls Varsity Basketball team for their first league game win 57-29 over Dunn on Tuesday. This was followed by another win yesterday 48-14 against Besant Hill. Shout out to Alexia Acosta '24 and Kate Becerra '27. This team is on fire!
