A Note from Dr. Scott
Dear Archway Trivium families,
In honor of our Art Walk this week, I would like to share a beautiful piece by Claude Monet. The French impressionist painted over 200 water lily paintings, including the one pictured here. I have my own thoughts, but I would rather ask some questions:
- What time of day is this?
- What do you hear in this place?
- What do you smell?
- What is the effect of the contrast between the dark greens and blues of the leaves and the bright white, yellow, pink lilies?
- This type of ecosystem is usually teeming with life. What life forms might we expect to be present, even if Monet chose to not include them?
- How many different colors can you see in just the water? How about the lilies?
Thank you for taking a moment to engage and look deeply at this superb piece of artwork. Learning to look deeply trains us to see and understand with greater detail. It allows our souls to open up to the beauty around us and our appreciation for our world increases. I hope this has been a fruitful experience for you. Have a great weekend!
Heartily Devoted,
Dr. Clay Scott
Headmaster

Thank you to all the families that stepped up to give as part of our Day of Giving last week. Collectively, our Archway Trivium donor family has now helped us move to 99% of our fundraising goal for the year! We are almost there!! Don’t forget that we still have an incredible giveaway where one lucky Trivium Community Investment donor will be drawn later this month to receive a pair of VR goggles, sponsored by Trivium family business Altered Combat (www.alteredcombat.com). All gifts made by midnight on the last day of school are eligible for entries. | If you have not yet set up a tax-deductible gift to support our school, it’s not too late!! Your giving goes to the HEART of helping to support every operating expense at the school and bridge the funding gap we have as a charter school. We appreciate you! If you have any questions, please reach out to Annann Hong at ahong@archwaytrivium.org or (773) 307-6779.

Traffic Flow for Student Drop-off/Pick-up
With the expansion of Archway and addition of the new building, there are significant changes to the traffic flow for the upcoming school year. Please carefully review the new Archway Traffic Flow for Student Drop-off and Pick-up and reach out with any questions. Taking the time to understand these procedures will help to ensure the safety of our students/staff and a smooth traffic flow.
Carpooling Update: Our east side pick-up lane has had a faster track and will now be our designated carpool lane.
If you have 2 or more Archway ONLY pick-up cards, you will be guided into this fast-track lane for a faster pick-up. Please be sure to have your pick-up cards ready to show our traffic controllers that you are carpooling so they can guide you to the appropriate lane. To maintain the flow of pick-up, others may be directed to the fast-track lane, but carpools will be given priority. Please do not enter the carpool lanes until you are directed to do so.
As a reminder, if you are picking up Middle School students DO NOT ARRIVE to campus before 3:15 PM. This creates significant delays. If you arrive before 3:15, we will ask you to go back into our pick-up lanes and try again.
Please follow the link below to review the DETAILED Archway Traffic Flow Plan and be sure to share this link with anyone authorized to drop-off/pick-up your children.
