United Way's Stuff the Bus needs your help
to give backpacks, markers to area students!
Now in its 10th year, United Way of Sumner County's annual Stuff the Bus school supply drive will have a different look in 2020 as we work with Sumner County Schools to provide assistance to low-income students while working to help keep our students safe.

From July 15 - Aug. 4 , you can create positive change in the lives of local students by helping United Way of Sumner County provide 1,200 backpacks to low-income students and dry erase markers for our high schools as part of the 2020 Stuff the Bus School Supply Drive.  (Click to download the 2020 STB Flyer)

Sumner County Schools is providing school supplies to K-8 students to assist families during the COVID-19 pandemic. We are supplementing that effort by providing backpacks to local students in need. Your donation will help us purchase those backpacks.

To assist our high schools in their efforts to remain safe, we are collecting  dry erase markers  so that our approximately 9,000 high school students will each have their own marker to use to reduce the need for sharing items in the classroom. You can either purchase dry erase markers and donate them, or make a contribution and let us buy them in bulk.

If you are buying dry erase markers yourself, please consider using AmazonSmile . AmazonSmile is the same Amazon you know: same products, same prices, same service, and every eligible purchase benefits your United Way. Why you make a qualifying purchase through AmazonSmile, Amazon donates 0.5% of the price of your AmazonSmile purchase to United Way of Sumner County. To participate, simply e nroll at  https://smile.amazon.com  and select United Way of Sumner County as your preferred charity.
