Prayer List
During these tumultuous times of the pandemic and experiences of continued acts of racial bigotry across the nation, we find ourselves groaning with the entire creation, as Romans 8 aptly describes it. May it give us hope that, just as scripture promises, exactly at times like this the Spirit helps us in our weakness, and she intercedes with us and turns our sighs too deep for words into prayer. (Romans 8:22, 26)
From this week, we are going to send out a weekly prayer list to better support, encourage and inspire each other in our daily lives of discipleship.
This week we pray for:
Rachel David and Eric Weiss
Congratulations to Rachel and Eric on their engagement! Our Westminster family rejoices with you and we wish you every blessing as you begin this exciting new chapter... and life together in your new home! Our prayers and love go with you!

Continued prayers for all of those affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Those who lost loved ones; those among us who cannot visit loved ones in nursing homes or hospitals; those who lost jobs; those whose livelihoods and safety is endangered.
Prayers for courage and wisdom for our communities as they engage in the work of healing and reconciliation with renewed passion and commitment. As we celebrate the freedoms we enjoy, may we be mindful of those in our midst who are not able to share in these gifts because of the systemic barriers that have been put in place to privilege some at the expense of many, especially communities of color and LGBTQIA+ neighbors.
