Jumpstart continued to make great strides towards our goals of removing blight, empowering local developers, and providing more affordable housing in Philadelphia.

Through our training, networking and lending programs we engaged with more than 1000 Jumpstarters last year! Our 57 loans assisted 45 unique borrowers who started renovating a total of 69 housing units, helping to preserve affordable housing in the City! And we saw projects start in 24 different Philly neighborhoods - with West Philly neighborhoods being most popular in 2024!

We also had 66 projects that finished up in 2024, resulting in a total of 78 newly renovated units sold or rented in Philly!

And through our training programs, JUMPinars, Think Tanks and other networking events we worked with more than 900 Jumpstarters, graduating 101 individuals from our 2 Jumpstart Germantown training programs.

We want to thank our graduates, inspectors, speakers, mentors, borrowers, staff and everyone who comes out to our events for making 2024 a great year. We can't wait to see what 2025 has in store (hint: it includes our 10th anniversary!).

Meet Lamar Blake - a Jumpstart Norristown graduate using the Jumpstart Philly Loan Program to complete a full gut rehab and by-right duplex conversion in West Philly. Lamar is an excellent example of documenting your project - he's kept notes and photos along the way. We can't wait to share the finished project once it's all done!
