Dear CSArts-SGV Community,

On behalf of all of us here at CSArts-SGV, we are heartbroken that so many of our families, faculty, and staff have been impacted and had their lives uprooted by the devastation of the Los Angeles wildfires. Many of you have reached out asking how you can help those in our CSArts-SGV community who have lost their homes, are without utilities, or have been evacuated.

In order to offer support to the many families in our school community who have been impacted, CSArts-SGV will be hosting an emergency relief donation drive this upcoming Monday, January 13. Please read below for more details on how and when to donate items or, if you are a family who has been impacted, how you can pick up items that may help you and your family during this very difficult time.

High school families: Please be reminded that Monday, January 13 is also the first day of academic classes for the spring semester. We look forward to seeing all of our high school students back on campus and being together to support one another in person.

DONATION DROP-OFF

Monday, January 13 | 8-10 a.m. & 2-4 p.m.

If you would like to provide support to the many CSArts-SGV families affected by the fires in our area, please consider dropping off items from the list below during the provided drop-off windows on Monday, January 13. We will only accept donated items that are NEW, UNUSED, AND UNEXPIRED.

  • Bottled Water & Non-Perishable Food: Please keep in mind that water in Pasadena and the surrounding areas has been deemed unsafe to drink, so this will be a critical need.

  • Blankets & Bedding: Sheets, pillowcases, travel blankets, etc.

  • Sanitation & Hygiene Items: Sanitizing wipes, toilet paper, toothbrushes/toothpaste, shampoo/conditioner, soap, deodorant, feminine hygiene items, diapers, etc.

  • Emergency Supplies: Batteries, flashlights, first aid kits, battery-operated phone chargers, etc.

  • School Supplies (for student use): Tablets, laptops, backpacks, etc.

  • Pet Supplies: Dog/cat food, kitty litter/pans, etc.

DONATION DROP-OFF LOCATION

CSArts-SGV Gymnasium via Northview Field

Students are welcome to walk items into the gym; however, for large donations and for general ease, we will also have a dedicated car drop-off lane on Northview Field. Please enter the field via Central Avenue, where you will be directed to complete a loop in order to drop off supplies at the back of the gym before exiting back onto Central Avenue.

DONATION PICK-UP

Tuesday, January 14 – Thursday, January 16 | 8-10 a.m. & 2-4 p.m.
