This event is for Grace St. Paul’s members and friends who would like to gather, get more information on the history leading up to the Hamas attacks on Israel in October 2023 and reflect on a faith-based response to the present situation in the Middle East. The film is one perspective and we are open to presenting other viewpoints in the future.

Please plan to arrive, sign in, and be seated by 6:00 pm so we can start on time. After the hour-long film, we will have a facilitated discussion about feelings, thoughts, and possible next best steps at GSP. We will end by 8pm.

Please RSVP by text or email to Pastor Delle

Short-term hospitality needed for a 60 year old Russian man whose son is currently in a Tucson hospital. He doesn't speak English but is very fluent in using Google Translate.

Ministry opportunities at GSP:

Social Justice In Action Volunteers

Summer has arrived and the Social Justice In Action program is in desperate need of volunteers. The hours are 9 am – 12 pm Monday, Wednesday and Friday. We need your assistance to serve our community. Café volunteers supply lunch, beverages and pet food to our guests. Social Services supply many essential services to our guests – vouchers for ID, assistance with birth certificates, and clothing vouchers. As summer is here, many regular volunteers are taking some well-deserved time away and we can use the extra help over the next few months. Please contact

Fr. Gary gary.cyr@grace-stpauls.org to say that you’re willing and able to serve your community! Thank you.

Intercessory Prayer Co-coordinator

This position includes receiving and then distributing prayer requests to the intercessory prayer team. This coordination takes

place entirely on computer, so all of the activity can be accomplished at home or anywhere where you have access to a computer.

This facilitation is shared with another person. Time commitment is approximately three hours per month.

Volunteer opportunity

Our JP Café is looking for a volunteer to help make sandwiches for our guests. Our Thursday volunteer is currently preparing to step down as they are getting ready to move East by June/July, and would love to pass the baton to others who share a passion for helping feed those experiencing homelessness. If you feel this is something that might interest you, please call the office or send an email to Fr. Gary at gary.cyr@grace-stpauls.org

If you think you may be interested in serving GSP in one of these areas, or would like more details, please contact Brooke, the parish administrator.

“Finding Spiritual Anchors in a Time of Anxiety.” This is our theme for most of this year. Each of our service offerings through November will focus on some aspect of this overall theme.

Here is the Spirit Now schedule for July 11 th through August 1 st, 2024:

-Thursday, July 11th, 5pm, in McBride Hall, Second Thursday service led by Reverend Delle McCormick.

-Thursday, July 18th, 5pm, Zoom-only service led by Chris Eastoe (zoom link: https://zoom.us/j/948146775).

-Thursday, July 25th , 5pm, in McBride Hall, Communion service led by Father Allen.

-Thursday, August 1st , 5pm, in the Chancel, Taizé service led by Chris Eastoe.

We’ve heard from church members that they’d like a smaller venue – Spirit Now’s answering that call … our services are held in the Chancel, in McBride Hall, or on Zoom, and are building blocks for the larger church to get together and share faith practices in smaller groups. It’s a more intimate place to read and reflect about our thoughts, our church, our communities, and our world.

If you’d like to receive announcements regarding Spirit Now’s services direct to your email, please contact Kim at moanatucson@gmail.com.
