Message from the Associate Dean - BCH Oakland

May 2025

May Flowers!

There are many reasons to celebrate as we gear up for our new academic year. This year brings many administrative changes as we continue to support our training programs across our enterprise. We have new interns and new graduates to celebrate. We also welcome the administrative changes to the pediatric emergency medicine fellowship. And this next year brings a centennial celebration of our tremendous pediatric residency. I hope you all can stop by for our next breakfast social on Wednesday, June 4, in Bertha Wright from 7:30 A.M. to 9:30 A.M. to connect in real life and enjoy a coffee.

I hope you all will enjoy seeing the photos of trainees and faculty at this year's Pediatric Academic Societies Meeting. There was excellent attendance and lots of shared learnings. There were great discussions about the pediatric workforce, coaching across the career continuum, and many posters! The plenary sessions addressed advances in children’s health.

I hope you have all done your cybersecurity training. This month, online access may be limited to individuals who missed this training. Also, delve into Campus Life Services for updates on cross-bay transportation services.

Be well,

Kelley
