Deeply Grateful

We are thrilled to share the news of Usman's recent graduation. Usman graduated with his Bachelor of Education in Counselor Education. Usman is a beneficiary of our sponsorship program from Nigeria. We are so happy to hear of his sucess and wish him all the best for the future!

A heartfelt message from Usman to his sponsor:

“To my sponsors, thank you so much for your constant financial support in helping me attain my bachelors degree. I hope that I’ve been able to make you proud. I also hope you continue to support me financially and help me achieve all my dreams in life. Thank you once again. I am deeply grateful.”

Usman Hassan, from Nigeria

Despite having severe hemophilia A, Usman thrived in his college education. Usman excelled in his studies and was heavily involved in campus life. He made many friends, who accepted him as he is. Usman loved the positive atmosphere of his college.

Usman is a man of many talents, such as debating, modeling, poetry and more! Usman particpated in the debate team, and represented his university at many debate competitions. In 2021, he was casted at a modeling agency and it has since become one of his passions. His poetry has been published, and he was even featured on the cover page of Olumo Review.

In past updates, Usman has shared that his family life and bleeding disorder may have deterred him from achieving his dreams, but with the help of his sponsorship he was able to continue on. He said "I'm always happy to be a person living with hemophilia. I might not have been where I am today without the help I've been getting. As much as I want a cure for hemophilia, it has been a really amazing existence living with this disorder."

Save One Life commits to sending sponsorship funds to beneficiaries —

even after they lose a sponsor.

1131 children sponsored through our Sponsorship Program

56 covered by the Save One Life Community Fund

Please consider sponsoring one of the 56 children available for sponsorship, like Joseph from Kenya.

Joseph is six years old and has moderate hemophilia B. His favorite subject in school is drawing. On his free time, he loves to play and practice his drawing. When he grows up, he wants to be a pilot.

Unfortunately, his family has no income. The sponsorship funds are a huge help to Joseph's family. They are used for school fees and food.

Let's help this family — Sponsor Joseph!
