SUPERINTENDENT'S MESSAGE
Dear Harmony Families,
It has been a tough few weeks, to say the least. Like so many others across the state, our Harmony community was impacted by an unprecedented week of winter weather in February. Some of our families and staff are still dealing with the challenges and uncertainty brought on by that winter storm. Because of this, I want to extend my appreciation for the patience and resilience our families and staff have provided and demonstrated as we continue to navigate the storm's aftermath.
As we begin to resume some sense of normalcy, I want to reassure you that our operations and technologies teams are working hard to make needed repairs to some of our campuses and District Office. Affected campuses will continue to keep you informed of that progress and any temporary arrangements made for your students.
On the academic side: Though we lost a week of learning, I want you to know that Harmony DFW has submitted a waiver with the Texas Education Agency so that our students do not have to make up these days because of the statewide disaster. With that, our academic staff is working to make sure any lost learning is incorporated into our existing curriculum calendar. Rest assured that your students will receive any additional academic support they need.
Finally, with our in-person learners rejoining campuses this week, please be reminded that all our COVID-19 safety protocols continue across our campuses and facilities.
I know this school year has brought on difficulties for our students, staff and families. My wish for you as we head into the Spring season is that you are able to rest, recharge during Spring Break and finish the year with renewed spirit and optimism.
Along the way, Harmony will continue to be here for you and your students.
