Sept 2024 —

Celebrate Arts in Education week Sept 9-13! Students of all ages—from kindergarten to college to creative aging programs—benefit from artistic learning, innovative thinking, and creativity. Celebrating National Arts in Education Week is a way to recognize this impact and share the message with friends, family, and communities. Join in supporting equitable access to the arts for all students.

Join us in congratulating Sierra College student Linda Leigh Alvarez, who received a prestigious Crocker Kingsley award for her submission titled "The Heart." This reclaimed mixed media sculpture is now on display at the new Art Building on the Rocklin Sierra College Campus. Follow Linda: @pearl_lla.

Grant Feature:

James Phillips and

Art League of Lincoln

With an ACPC Community Arts Grant, there is a new art installation in Lincoln! There were three primary objectives for the project:

1. Art League of Lincoln wanted to call attention to the artistic mission their organization with an art element visible from the street and pedestrian walkways.

2. The City of Lincoln was interested in adding to the rich public art environment in the downtown.

3. Artist James Phillips wanted to continue Lincoln's long history of artistic clay associated with the Gladding McBean clay works.

See how the partnership fulfilled these objectives and enjoy the new sculpture installed at the Art League of Lincoln!
