City Fills Public Works Director Position

The City of Bonner Springs recently completed the hiring process for the Public Works Director vacancy left by a retirement. Matt Beets was selected as the new Public Works Director. Matt was chosen after reviewing several applications and conducting interviews with the top candidates. The interview panel unanimously recommended Matt for the position.

 

Amber Vogan, Interim City Manager said, "Matt’s experience with supervision, water and wastewater utilities, parks, and public works operations along with his 19 years of institutional knowledge, including 6 years as our Deputy Public Works Director, made him the ideal candidate for the position."

We offer a wide variety of activities for all interests and abilities including Mystery Lunches, Bingo, Museums, Dinner Theatre Trips, Board Games and Cards, Food Demonstrations, Free Legal Services, Free Blood Pressure Checks, Wii Video Games, Basic Computer Training, Pool Tables, Movies and Cable TV with the Coffee Pot on Daily.

The Arts Alliance will meet on Thursday, March 6 at 7 p.m. All are invited.

BSAA membership is open to everyone. Dues are $30 annually. Members are invited to display and sell their art in our gallery. You do not have to be an artist to attend meetings or join us. We provide instruction in the arts and
encourage artistic expression.
