From the Director's Desk
Nigel O. Holly | Executive Director
Q: When and why did you found FLC?
A: The idea started over 25 years ago to support youth who grew up like I did in South Central Los Angeles. I began working in schools in 2014, and after years of building programs in schools and communities, FLC officially incorporated in 2022.
Q: What’s one goal FLC has helped you reach?
A: It’s allowed me to multiply my impact by training ELCs to mentor students across multiple sites in different school districts.
Q: What’s one goal you have for FLC?
A: To shine a light on our work and show the world the impact we’re making with youth and young adults.
Q: Share a proud moment with FLC.
A: Seeing my team step up as leaders through mentorship, public speaking, and civic engagement.
Q: Advice for the Class of 2026?
A: Turn your moments into movements, and stay true to yourself through change.
Q: What does your everyday life look like with FLC?
A: Fast-paced and fulfilling—working across schools, city spaces, and meetings while supporting students and the community.
Q: How do you contribute to FLC?
A: As Executive Director, I focus on vision, growth, and strategy to move the organization forward.
