Tentative Budget: Open for Public Review

Public Hearings will take place on March 16 and April 6 at 7pm in Village Hall

The Village of Tarrytown’s FY 2026-2027 Tentative Budget has been released for public review.

The public hearings will take place at regular Board of Trustees meetings on March 16 and April 6 at 7pm at Village Hall.

This year's budget reflects a somewhat more challenging fiscal climate, with many relied-upon revenue streams projected to remain flat. Nevertheless, the budget continues to comply with the New York State 2-percent tax levy cap.

Brief Summary Statistics:

  • Total Proposed Expenditures for All Funds: $43,400,814 (5.2% increase over FY 2026)
  • Total Tax Levy: $21,970,927 (6.47% increase over FY 2026 and within NYS tax cap)
  • Tax Rate: $7.4166 per $1,000 of assessed value (0.5% increase from FY 2026)
