Two weeks, friends! That’s just 14 days until the Walworth County Fair!
How lucky are we to have six days of corn dogs, carnival rides, Grandstand entertainment, and even a locally crafted fair beer right in our backyard?
There are so many things I love about the Walworth County Fair (WCF): the animal barns, exhibit buildings, food-on-a-stick, fair treats in a cup, and, of course, all the Grandstand entertainment. But what really makes my heart swell is thinking about the incredible number of people it takes to make the Fair go ’round.
Long before we walk through those gates, the WCF team is hard at work on a year-round project that culminates in six unforgettable days. Sponsorships, entertainment, vendor contracts, planning meetings, staffing, facility improvements—the list goes on and on. So much happens behind the scenes before the first corn dog is served or the first ride starts spinning.
And then there are the hundreds of people it takes to make each day of the Fair possible.
Volunteers and employees who say YES to the Fair.
Yes to parking cars.
Yes to selling tickets.
Yes to working booths and serving food.
Yes to caring for animal barns and activity areas.
Yes to maintaining the grounds and keeping everyone safe.
And yes, of course, to serving up a cold fair beer. 😉🍺
Friends, the Fair is coming!
Soon the tents will go up, the Ferris wheel will start spinning, and the cotton candy will be spun. When it does, I hope you’ll make a trip to the WCF and take a moment to notice something beyond all the sights, sounds, food and fun: our community working together.
Hundreds of people, countless hours and one shared goal: to create six memorable days for everyone who walks through those gates.
That’s something worth celebrating.
See you at the Largest County Fair in Wisconsin! 🎡🌽🐄
