October 2024 Newsletter

Greetings, Dear Jennifer!

Welcome to Autumn!

I've returned from my travels with a heart overflowing with love for my more-than-human kin across the globe. I quite unexpectedly fell in love with two particular trees in different areas. I don't mean species of trees; I mean, quite literally, two individual trees. One lives in a cemetery. The other lives in a churchyard. But I also experienced in various moments a kind of intimacy - a depth of connection - with Seawater, Robin, Lake, Stone, Highland Cow and Lowland Sheep, Maidenhair Spleenwort, the autumn colored leaves of Black Maple, Scarlet Lady's Tresses, Cypress, Seawrack, Loosestrife, Male Fern, Snail, and so many others.

It is the imprint of these interactions that inspires the desire to create: via words or paint, fabric or paper, pencil, ink, fiber, charcoal... and through this creative rendering of significant experience, we become more whole. We become better able to feel our interconnection with all beings, including one another. This is the work we do and facilitate at TEALarbor stories.

And I am very excited to announce that our brand new offering, Compassionate Spiritual Ecology: A Virtual Gathering, is right around the corner! This event gives us a monthly opportunity to together go deeper in our relationships with the beings around us, human and more-than-human, as well as to find our creative response to the values that guide such exploration. Our inaugural meeting is this coming Monday:

  • Oct. 7th (Mon.) Compassionate Spiritual Ecology: A Virtual Gathering via Zoom (Free) (register to get access) 7:00 – 8:30 AM Pacific / 9:00 - 10:30 AM Central

Come gather with us for ninety nourishing minutes every first Monday of the month for an exploration of Compassionate Spiritual Ecology. Together we will engage the many ways of embodying Spiritual Ecology values, practices, and rituals to enhance our everyday connections with the sacred in the Earthy wild within and outside of us. Please bring a journal, pens, and a sacred-to-you item to each gathering.

Join us this month, also, for:

  • Oct. 8th (Tues.) Second Tuesdays Conversations via Zoom (Free) (register to get access) 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM

Scroll down for details about these and other upcoming events.

May this season offer you blessed balance ...

Blessings,

Jennifer Wilhoit
