With the call for applications to GIP, DAAD wishes to promote cooperation between institutions offering Germanistik and/or Deutsch als Fremdsprache at German universities and their partner institutions abroad. The 20th GAIN conference is going virtual! The annual conference and talent fair of the German Academic International Network is the largest gathering of German universities, funding agencies and scientists abroad.

Germany Rated World's Most Admired Country

According to a new Gallup poll, Germany is the most admired country in the world for a third consecutive year. With a high government approval rating, Germany is a greatly respected place to both live and work, according to the poll's results. The poll was conducted by the US-based consulting firm, Gallup, in 2019, before the coronavirus pandemic hit. The poll surveyed 1000 adults in 134 countries on what polling participants think of leadership around the world.
