Together we grow in generosity.
We are story-telling people. “In the beginning…” are the first words of the story of people of faith. Every nation, tribe or people group tells stories. What are some of the Trinity stories? Stories about our common worship, care for one another, our community outreach or our desire to know and love God?
If you have a story, please consider sending a sentence or paragraph to Trinity Church, attn: Stewardship, 139 Ocean Ave, Cranston, RI 02905 or office@trinitycranston.org, subject: Stewardship.
Gratefully,
The Stewardship Team: Cathi Beattie, Ginny Simms, Ann Walter

Carol Deming:
I am on the offering counting team. I worked with (the late) Jeanne Knowles for many years on this team. Jeanne faithfully gave a pledge to the church every year. But, every so often she would increase that pledge with a written memo that the extra money was to go towards Trinity’s building. Jeanne cared deeply about the church and wanted to ensure that there was a future in the building’s physical presence so that there was a spiritual presence for future generations.
Jeanne’s generosity has inspired me to think about adding something extra to my pledge this year.

All Saints Day – Sunday
November 1
8 and 10 am
This is the day when we remember we are surrounded by a “great cloud of witnesses” supporting us in our faith journey – Saints like Paul, Mark, John, Matthew, Mary, as well as all the saints in our lives. We sing “I sing a song of the saints of God…and I mean to be one, too” as a reminder that, through baptism, we become one with Christ as beloved children of God, a saint with a lower case “s.”
Therefore, we will renew our Baptismal Covenant. You are invited to bring in pictures of our deceased relatives and friends which will surround the altar.

Final Plan
As part of our recent book discussion of “The Courage to Grow Old” we talked about the necessity for each of us to make final plans.
This is a gift of kindness we give to our loved ones.
One step is to plan the kind of service we wish to have. Attached is the form Mother Susan uses and then files in the office. If you wish to meet with her to fill out the form together please schedule an appointment.

From the Social Outreach Team
We had a large donation to the food pantry this week. Thinking of Thanksgiving, the food pantry is in need of canned corn, cranberry sauce and turkey gravy. Canned mix vegetables and beets are also welcomed.
Thank you, Trinity, for thinking of our neighboring families who may be struggling a bit these days.
