DISTRICT 1 DESERVES A CHOICE

The Public Record Speaks For Itself

June 29, 2026

Friends & Neighbors:

TIME IS RUNNING SHORT - PLEASE ACT NOW

The Waccamaw Neck cannot afford four more years of broken promises, special interests, and failed representation.

Just weeks ago, District 6 voters overwhelmingly rejected four more years of Stella Mercado. Mercado and Clint Elliott (District 1) campaigned together, governed together, and voted together.

Now, District 1 has the opportunity to choose a new direction.

Former Planning Commissioner and Murrells Inlet native Sandra Bundy is seeking to qualify for the November ballot as an Independent candidate for County Council District 1 by nomination petition.

SIGN THE PETITION TODAY

Sandra must collect the required signatures from registered District 1 voters by July 10 to qualify for the November ballot.

Your signature is not a vote. It simply gives District 1 voters another choice this November. No opponent? No choice.

If you are a registered District 1 voter, CLICK HERE or on the button below to sign the petition, or email SandraBundyforCC@gmail.com.

THE RECORD IS CLEAR - WE WERE THERE

For years, Keep It Green has attended County Council meetings, Planning Commission meetings, workshops, and public hearings.

We have listened as hundreds of residents asked County Council to protect our neighborhoods, preserve the Waccamaw Neck, respect the Comprehensive Plan, and ensure that growth remained responsible and consistent with the wishes of the community.

We also watched the votes.

Again and again, Clint Elliott supported decisions that many residents opposed, including increased density development, reduced public participation, and controversial development proposals.

The public record speaks for itself.

This is not about campaign rhetoric. It is about the record.

A DIFFERENT KIND OF LEADERSHIP

Sandra Bundy has already demonstrated the kind of leadership many residents have been asking for.

As a member of the Planning Commission, she listened to citizens, respected the Comprehensive Plan, and made decisions based on the facts - not political pressure.

She represents the kind of leadership many believe has been missing from District 1.

A UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY

The Waccamaw Neck is at an important crossroads.

Following Bill Ringer's landslide victory in District 6 and three unanimous Court of Appeals decisions confirming that Georgetown County must follow the law, District 1 now has the opportunity to continue that momentum.

If Sandra Bundy qualifies for the ballot and is ultimately elected, the Waccamaw Neck could be represented by three independent community leaders - Bob Anderson, Bill Ringer, and Sandra Bundy - working together to protect our community, listen to citizens, and put residents first.

But first, Sandra Bundy must qualify for the ballot.

PLEASE SIGN TODAY

If you are a registered voter in District 1, please sign Sandra Bundy's nomination petition before the July 10 deadline. If you know a registered District 1 voter, please encourage them to sign as well.

The tide is turning.

Thank you for your continued support of KIG's efforts to protect and preserve the Waccamaw Neck.

Sincerely,

Your friends at

KEEP IT GREEN
