Back-to-School Tips
Label all booksacks, lunchboxes, sweatshirts, water bottles, and gear with your child's name. Learning new routines and a new campus can cause things to be misplaced along the way. Our school's have a lost and found, and it makes it so much easier to return items to students which are labeled.
Have a PreK - 2nd grader coming to school? It's a great idea to write their full names (not a nickname) on a tag inside their booksacks, along with a working phone number, should they need assistance finding their classes on the first day of school. Have them practice saying your home address aloud, so if the bus driver needs to confirm their drop-off location, they are able to help guide the way.

Commit to a Strong Start to the School Year: BE PRESENT
Being present for class is a key component of improving graduation rates, increasing academic achievement & giving young people a good chance for success at school & beyond.
Each day of learning builds a strong foundation for academic achievement, social development, and long-term habits that support success in school and beyond.
Missing even a few days—especially early in the year—can make it harder for students to catch up and stay engaged. When students attend school consistently, they are more likely to feel connected, confident, and prepared to meet the challenges of each new day.
Here are a few ways you can support strong attendance:
- Establish a regular bedtime and morning routine.
- Plan family trips during scheduled school breaks.
- Schedule doctor and dentist appointments outside of school hours whenever possible.
- Reach out to us if your family is facing barriers to consistent attendance—we’re here to help.
Let’s work together to make this a great year, starting with showing up every day, ready to learn!
Log into the Student Progress Center to track attendance records.

Arrive on time. Stay all day.
Getting to school on time each morning is the start to a successful school year. Late arrivals not only cause students to miss important announcements and work, it also sets the tone for their day.
Schedule appointments during after school hours if possible. Early check-outs disrupt teaching and learning in the classroom.

Free Meals!
We are pleased to announce that students will receive breakfast and lunch free of charge again this year. You can use My School Bucks to add money to student accounts for extra snacks offered in the cafeteria.
