Prayer List

During the days ahead, may

God's might uphold you.
God's wisdom guide you.
God's eye look before you.
God's ear hear you.
God's word speak for you.
God's hand guard you.

(Irish blessing)

This week we pray for:

Prayers of thanksgiving for your support of our Friendship Fiesta
We offer our thanks and praise to all of you wonderful Westminster friends who supported the women of the Amiga Cooperative. What a beautiful show of solidarity! Together we continue to walk in hope!

Emily Kridel, Dawn Kridel's daughter
Prayers for Emily as she is working through testing and diagnostics related to a health concern.

James William Owens, father of Jason Owens
Prayers for James who tested positive for Covid at the nursing home where he recently moved. He currently shows no symptoms. We also pray for Jason, who is not able to visit with his dad in person due to the Covid related safety regulations at the nursing home.

Doug Iams, the son of Dorothy and Bob Iams
Prayers for safe travels as Doug is planning to move back from California to Ohio.

Michael Bretz
Prayers for wisdom and guidance for Michael as he begins a new job.

Joe Yeakel, Josie Drushal's dad
Prayers for smooth transition to Joe who moved to the Memory Care Unit at Danbury.

Haroldo Nunes, Executive Director of Open Arms Hispanic Ministries
Prayers for our ministry partner Haroldo who will have surgery on November 25.

Prayers for those affected by Hurricane Iota in Nicaragua and Honduras. Many are still recovering from the devastation caused by the previous storm that hit the region two weeks ago.

Continued prayers for our nation, for the health of our democracy, and for a peaceful transition of power.

Prayers for those affected by the fire on Bever Street this past week.

Prayers for all of those affected by the new waves of Covid-19 infections in this country and across the world. Today we especially lift all healthcare workers in prayer. We pray also for those who struggle with isolation due to the pandemic... many in care facilities that have to bar in-person visits; who miss the comfort of a hug or hand shake; whose emotional and mental health is affected by the lack of in-person contact.

May each of us do everything to protect the wellbeing and safety of others!

Prayer Request and Privacy Laws

Please note, that because of government privacy laws, hospitals and care centers no longer are allowed to notify churches that a person has been admitted (even if the person lists their home church at admission). The only way that the church staff will know if someone is hospitalized is if a family member or friend lets us know. We'd rather get 20 calls about the same person than none! Thanks for your help in making Westminster a caring community. Contact the Westminster Office by phone 330-263-2398 or email to notify the church if you or someone you know is hospitalized or otherwise in need of our prayers!
