Quick Tips with Marty featuring Daniel Smith:

What if reading the Bible isn't something you should do — but something you get to do? That's the question at the heart of a conversation between Marty Chapman and Daniel Smith, Associate Professor of New Testament at Saint Louis University and a beloved teacher of our 8th grade confirmation students for the past 12 years.

"One Story About One God: The Bible in 60 Minutes"

Sunday, October 11, 11:30 AM-1 PM

Daniel will bring that conversation to life in person this fall. On Sunday, October 11, he'll lead an opening lecture — One Story About One God: The Bible in 60 Minutes — followed by a three-week Wednesday evening series beginning later that month as part of Wonderful Wednesdays (dinner at 5:30 PM, class 6:00–7:00 PM). More on Wonderful Wednesdays later!

Sign up on Realm or contact the church office. All are welcome.

"Why Christians Need the Old Testament" led by Daniel Smith

We Christians like our Gospels. But Leviticus? Numbers? Malachi? Some pastors would have us "un-hitch" ourselves from the Old Testament. But what if un-hitching from the Old Testament would render the New Testament unintelligible? Come learn how the Christian Old Testament-even and especially Leviticus-is absolutely essential for understanding the Christian faith.
