Message from Mrs. Nannen
It’s hard to believe we’re already nearing the end of October! We had so much fun seeing all your amazing costumes last weekend at Faith’s Trunk or Treat and Morrow Collision’s Trunk or Treat. Between the two events, we saw more than 1,000 kids! How cool is that?!
We know Halloween costumes are so much fun! However, we ask that costumes be saved for trick-or-treating and not worn to school. Costumes can easily get dirty or ripped, and getting in and out of the bathroom can be tricky when wearing one!
If you’d like to send us a picture of your child in their costume, we would love to see and display them! You can send your picture to touchinghearts@faithlincoln.org.
Our next fun event at Faith is for the parents. Get a group of friends together and enjoy an evening at Trivia Night! See below for information on how to register your team.

Annual Thanksgiving Pie Sale!
The Thanksgiving pie order form is now open, so it’s time to pick your favorites and check dessert off your holiday to-do list.
Order forms can be found at the Church, School, and Touching Hearts offices. Completed forms may be returned to any of these offices. You can also order online: HERE
All proceeds go directly to support the Special Education Endowment at Faith Lutheran School, helping us continue to support every child in their learning journey.
Pies will be ready for pickup at Faith on the afternoon of Wednesday, November 25th. Skip the baking, enjoy a delicious homemade pie, and support a wonderful cause. It’s a win-win for your Thanksgiving table!

Veterans Day is coming!
Faith School and Touching Hearts will celebrate Veterans Day on Wednesday, November 11 during a special chapel service starting at 9:00am. All veterans are invited to join us for chapel which will include special programming just for our special guests!
Afterward, we invite our veterans to stay for a panel discussion to share about their experiences with students before enjoying some special treats. Come for the chapel service, stay for the discussion, and enjoy some sweet treats on Wednesday, November 11th from 9:00 - 10:30am.
No registration needed; we’re excited to celebrate with you!

Get ready for a night of fun and a little friendly competition at our Trivia Night on November 13th! Doors will open at 6:30pm, Trivia starts at 7pm!
Whether you’re a trivia master or just in it for the fun, there’s something for everyone!
Gather your team of up to 8 players for $100 per team. Bringing a crock pot? Reserve a table with electricity for $125. Don’t have a full team? No problem! You can also sign up as a couple or individual, and we’ll help create the ultimate team for you.
Bring your own snacks and non-alcoholic drinks. There will be alcoholic drinks for purchase at the event.

Grandparents or Special Friends Day
Grandparents or Special Friends Day is scheduled for November 24th from 10:30am-11:30am.
We will all meet in the sanctuary. The children will sing some songs for you, and then you have the opportunity to visit our classrooms!
If your child is not a regularly attending Tuesday friend, you are invited and encouraged to join us at 10am to sing with your classroom.

Let’s Pack 200 Shoeboxes!
Thank you for your generosity! We are making great progress collecting items for our Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes.
We still have a great need for hygiene items (washcloths, combs, and brushes) and school supplies (notebooks, scissors, erasers, and glue sticks). You can use the Amazon Link to buy items from our wish list and get them sent directly to the school.
Each donation helps us share Christ’s love with children around the world! Thank you for helping us fill these boxes with joy!

School Pictures
You have the option to order photos before picture day, after you receiving proofs, or you may opt out of ordering. Photos taken by Inter-State Studio will be used in our yearbook.

Shipping & handling may apply to orders placed after Picture Day.
Photo re-takes are scheduled for Wednesday, November 18th.

Illness Policy
As we begin a new school year, we understand that germs are persistent! Our teachers are consistently wiping surfaces and cleaning toys.
We ask that you keep your child(ren) at home if they are showing signs of illness. Give us a call or send a message via the Procare app if they are staying at home. This allows for us to also monitor their classroom.
- Children must be fever free for 24 hours without the use of medication before returning to Touching Hearts.
- If they are vomiting or have diarrhea, they can return no earlier than 24 hours following the last incident.
