Hello Families!
We had a great time talking about our "saltiness" and how we enhance the Kingdom of God, right here on Earth, right now! That we are enough just as we are and how to let our light shine to the world instead of on ourselves. Kids brought home a container of salt to keep on their dresser to remind them that God made them just as they are to go out and love (salt up) the world.
I hope you will come to the Parenting with God class this Sunday during the Formation hour. We haven't met in a while and I would love for new and "old" parents to meet each other. We will take a bit about "creating windows" - we want our children to have a personal relationship with God, but they need to know what that looks like. So much of our life with God is hidden. Creating windows is really a simple way to make it more visible. So grab your coffee and come on up to Rm 307 for fun and fellowship.
Make sure that you register for next week's Progressive Dinner celebrating our Core Ministries ( Threads, Refugee Ministries, Covenant Community, and Midtown Assistance Center). There will be a crowd and we want to make sure to have enough food! Register below.
Lent is right around the corner, and I will have some family-friendly ideas for you to try at home together. Mark your calendar for Shrove Tuesday and Ash Wednesday Feb. 21 and Feb. 22.
Save the Date - Vacation Bible School (VBS) will be June 5-9. Woo-Hoo!
Peace,
Kathy
