FP Movement Hosts Career Workshop with

Professional Snowboarder Bea Kim

Marina Del Rey Middle School girls participated in an interactive career workshop led by 19-year-old U.S. Olympic snowboarder and FP Movement ambassador, Bea Kim.

Through our partnership with FP Movement, we are connecting girls with inspiring women to encourage them to dream big.

During the workshop, Bea shared her journey to becoming a professional snowboarder and guided students in a breathing exercise they can use to ground themselves if they feel anxious. Each girl then decorated their own snowflake while they reflected on where they see themselves in the next 5 to 10 years.

Bea left everyone with a powerful message to keep doing what you love and that with imagination and determination, anything is possible!

PROGRAMMING

Clippers Expand Access to Women in Sports & Entertainment

In honor of Women's History Month, the LA Clippers closed out March by inviting our Venice High School and alumni to an exclusive event at the Intuit Dome.

More than 40 girls participated in the lunch-and-learn featuring women leaders from Halo Sports and Entertainment, gaining insight into careers within the industry.

Field trips like this help girls connect with professionals, broaden their networks, and explore career pathways where women are underrepresented.

From Girls Inc. Girl to Volunteer

During National Volunteer Week (April 19 - 25), we celebrated volunteers like Kai who dedicate time to show up for girls across Los Angeles.

Now a college student and former Girls Inc. LA alumna, Kai shared that she always envisioned herself giving back to her community and making an impact just like Girls Inc. did for her when she was in elementary school.

Volunteers enhance our programming by offering additional support during activities, providing mentorship and consistent encouragement that help girls build confidence in their abilities.

Make a difference. Learn more about volunteering with Girls Inc. LA!
