THE DAYS OF NOAH
We are living in the days of Noah!
What does that mean? Jesus said, in Matthew 24:37 that at his return the world would be like it was in the days of Noah. What was it like in the days of Noah? Genesis 6:5 says, “And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.” This sounds like the days we are living in, doesn’t it?
We have armed our enemies and call evil good and good evil. Our country has turned its back on God with its’ decisions in our High Courts, and in our nation’s capital. Sin has been given a license, and blatant sin is everywhere we look.
Being a Christian is not politically correct, but being a sinner is. I just read an article of a man that was attacked in Walmart for wearing a Christian T-shirt. It is so evident that we are in the days of Noah. God looked at the sin, and finally said enough is enough, and destroyed the earth and everything in it with a flood. He promised He would not flood the world again, but many things are going to happen that bring judgment.
How does this affect us? Is your heart right with God? Have you forgiven your enemies? Have you gotten rid of bitterness and anger?
Yes, these are the days of Noah, but we do not have to be destroyed like the sinners in those days. Romans 8:1 says, “There is no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who WALK NOT AFTER THE FLESH, but after the Spirit.” Some versions leave out the last part that says “who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. This part of that verse is the most important.
Condemnation comes when we walk in the flesh; so walk in the Spirit and not in the flesh. Be Spirit-controlled, and not flesh controlled. When we are clean before the Lord, we can be guaranteed that we will be protected from the wrath of God. If we are not then it is time to make things right by repenting, and putting away the sin in our life.
Yes, those secret sins where only God sees them, but are stains on your robe of righteousness, need to be repented of. The little anger. The little offenses, the little unforgiveness. Let them go.
Do not be like the fools in Noah’s day that were destroyed.
