We are thrilled to provide the structural design for the new headquarters of Ives Bank! Construction is underway for the new four-story building in the center of downtown Danbury. Site constraints have posed several challenges, including the temporary support of Main and White Street during existing building demolition, the bracing of the full basement wall as well as the lateral bracing and cladding of the now exterior wall of the of the adjacent building that remains. Portions of the first-floor framing and foundations of the demo’d building have been left in place temporarily for the bracing of the adjacent street, while they will be sequentially removed and backfilled. Ground improvement in the form of Rammed Aggregate Piers (RAPs) will soon be underway. |
