President's Message

I hope everyone is having a good month so far. It's been busy in the Design and Construction industry. Many members are getting ready for the summer rush; however, the industry is experiencing supply and demand issues that has been affecting all of us and affecting the timelines for our customers! See the link below for an interesting report from National on this topic.

The exciting NKBA Design Competition is now open. This competition has some big prizes (cash, exposure in National magazines, free trip to KBIS in Orlando, etc) and it has low entry fees (see more info below). Several of our Aloha Chapter members have been honored with winning kitchen projects: most recently Breck Dangler of Dangler Construction and Hinano Nahinu of Pacific Source.

Our free NKBA meeting "Social Media 101", presented by Alyssa Greve of Cambria USA, was very informative with lots of tips for business owners and social media teams. If you were unable to attend and would like a "cheat sheet" of tips and practices, please contact our Programs Committee Chair, Lianne Cameron here.

Our Programs Committee has been working on our upcoming virtual events, like our Pau Hana Fridays. Watch your email for more information.

NKBA Design Competition Now Open
Enter your projects today for your chance to win cash and prizes worth over $60,000! This is a great time to showcase your projects, especially with the first FREE entry and very affordable entry fee for each additional project.

Professional photography not required for entry. Amateur photography including phone camera images will be accepted for the submission process.

First entry for NKBA Members is free during our Early bird period, April 15 – May 31. Each additional entry is $129. All member entries after May 31 have an entry fee of $129 and entries for Non-Members are $199 per project.

Deadline to enter is July 2!
