Sharing Hope Beyond FUMC

How are you ministering beyond the walls of First United Methodist Church?

We believe sharing the hope of Christ happens in everyday moments and in places all across our community. Maybe you’re volunteering, serving a neighbor, encouraging a coworker, caring for a friend, or simply being a source of kindness and hope to someone who needs it.

How are you sharing the hope of Christ from the heart of High Point in ways beyond the ministries of FUMC? We’d love to hear your story and celebrate the ways our congregation is making a difference in the community.

Valet Parking Ministry

First United Methodist Church is exploring the return of our valet parking ministry to help members and guests who have difficulty walking from their cars to the church elevator. We are looking for volunteers to help make attending worship and church activities more accessible and welcoming for everyone. If you are interested in volunteering or learning more, please contact the church office. Your willingness to serve can make a meaningful difference!

NOV

On Sunday, November 1, we will gather for All Saints Sunday, a special time to remember and give thanks for those in our church family who have died since last year’s All Saints Sunday.

During worship, we will hear the names of those we have lost, see their names and photos displayed, and light a candle in their memory. Together, we honor their lives, give thanks for the ways they touched our community, and remember the hope we share in Christ.

If you have a loved one who was a former member, and would like them remembered during our All Saints Sunday service, please let us know by filling out this form.

Join us as we remember, give thanks, and celebrate the hope we share in Christ.
