I am married to a crazy person!

When Tim thought we could orchestrate a gigantic diaper drive in the month of May and collect more than a million donated diapers, I really thought he was nuts.

But, here we are.

In its 5th year, the World's Largest Diaper Drive™ has been a tremendous success and has increased awareness of diaper need, afforded Bottoms Up much needed diapers for distribution to needy families, and helped with the sustainability of the organization.

In order for the World's Largest Diaper Drive™ to be successful this year, there needs to be 150 diaper drives happening in the month of May. That's a whole bunch of diaper drives! We really need a lot of help to pull that off.

Many hands make for light work and we could use all the hands we can muster. If your church, civic group, lady's or men's group, business, school, cub scout pack (that's right!), fraternal or other charitable organization can hold a diaper drive in May, please register to do so. It's easy and fun.

HOW DO DIAPER DRIVES IMPACT OUR COMMUNITIES?

Every single day in our community tens of thousands of mothers have to use (and re-use) diapers because they can't afford to purchase enough diapers to keep their child clean, dry, and healthy. It's a sad fact that one in two families needs help to diaper their babies. Diaper banks and organizations from across Ohio have joined together to do something about that by collecting more than 1 million diapers in the month of May to help those most in need.

How do diaper drives help families?

Reduce financial stress: Diapers can be expensive, and diaper drives help families save money so they can use their resources for other needs.
Improve baby health: Diapers help prevent diaper rash, which can lead to medical expenses.
Improve family well-being: Diapers help families care for their children, which can lead to better employment and educational outcomes for parents.
Enable participation in early childcare and education programs.

Diaper Drives are making a Huge Impact on families in Local Communities

all around Ohio

Westerville

St. Paul Elementary School in Westerville collected 5,892 diapers during their diaper drive. This will serve 235 local families. The students even made cards to give to the Moms who will receive their diapers. We appreciate all their support of babies in need!

Perry County

St. Rose and St. Patrick's Parish communities collected 6,619 diapers at their baby shower celebration last month in Perry County!

This will serve 265 local families! We want to give a huge thank you to Cathy Wright for organizing this wonderful event.

Newark

Students at St. Francis in Newark held a diaper drive and collected 3,186 diapers in February. This will help 127 families! We appreciate all their support every year.

Bottoms Up partners with more than 80 partners including food pantries, child care facilities and domestic abuse shelters in 25 counties in Ohio every month. We love helping our partners and we work to make sure they have everything they need from us.
