Vintage Scouting Memorabilia On eBay
Once again I'm behind and ya'll are getting an issue of the Hot Finds one day late. But at least I have a fun video to share. In this one I show the handiwork of Bill Chadek out in Nebraska who has a talent for refurbishing Scouting sheath knives and hand axes.
I have given away so many Chadek items during my time as a camp director. One year I think I gave almost all the key leaders a refurbished vintage hand axe which I hope was a real keeper of a gift. Sure beats a coffee mug!
Last night I visited the meeting of Troop 133 at my home church. They are the unit that is putting on the concessions for the Charlotte TOR. Our pack is the main sponsor so we really try and make it be a unit based fundraiser. It also helps to get Scouts to the show which is always a plus!
On eBay I have 216 live auctions featuring exclusively OA flaps and lots. I've tried something different in this run. In order to avoid listing singles, I've made small lots of a single lodge. I can't say it's been a home run but it does raise the average price and helps me move more inventory.
