A Message from the Headmaster
Dear Archway Trivium families,
This week we have been asking families to fill out our annual family survey. We appreciate those of you who have already done so. The information gleaned from these surveys is very meaningful to us. As an example, during my first two years as a headmaster, our family surveys indicated that I was not as present and available as I ought to have been. From conversations I was having at the time, it was my impression that the opposite was true. Hearing the collective voice of our families opened my eyes to a problem that I did not know existed. Consequently, we made procedural changes that have made me much more accessible to parents. Once again, we looked to our family survey in the subsequent years to verify that those changes were having the anticipated effect.
At Archway Trivium we are guided by principles of classical education. We are not an organization that chases numbers or approval ratings. We are an organization that seeks excellence in every way. The information gained through these surveys is essential for us to take our next steps. In the previous example, I showed how we can change from a deficiency, but having a confirmation of our excellence in a specific area is just as important. Without the good reports, we would not have known of the growth. As you take the survey this year, please be honest, candid, and kind. Please write thoughtful comments where the opportunity exists. If you have something to say and there isn’t a box for it, just type it in anyway! I read every single one. Thank you all for your continued support of our academy and have a great 3-day weekend.
Heartily devoted,
Clay Scott, Headmaster

Take the Great Hearts Family Survey by February 24!
Each year we ask parents for feedback on their academy and Great Hearts as a whole. We hope you will take the time to fill out this year’s survey. It should only take a few minutes, and we very much want to hear your perspective.
Take the Great Hearts Family Survey
The survey will remain open through February 24. Our goal is to hear from as many families as possible to help us best understand what is going well and how we can improve. To that end, if we increase our participation percentage from last year, students will be rewarded with a "Jeans and Crazy Sock Day!"
Thank you in advance for taking the time to provide your feedback through the Family Survey.

A Note from the Health Office
Immediate Attention Needed: Emergent Asthma Care
Archway Families,
Our campus maintains a supply of emergency-use albuterol for student health needs. Please note that our current stock is set to expire on February 28, 2026, and the replacement supply is currently on back order. If your child has a known diagnosis of asthma and you have not yet provided the school with a current Asthma Action Plan and a prescribed albuterol inhaler, we kindly ask that you contact the health office as soon as possible. We can provide you with the most up-to-date Asthma Action Plan form to share with your child’s healthcare provider. Having an updated action plan and necessary medication on campus helps ensure your child’s asthma can be managed safely and effectively during the school day.

School Messenger Communication
Great Hearts and Archway Trivium continue to utilize the system School Messenger for emails, robo-calls, and text messaging to inform families of campus related academy emergencies and other communications. SchoolMessenger has a new automatic opt-in for text feature. During the registration/re-enrollment process families confirmed their wish to participate in text communications. Great Hearts will now automatically opt in contact information given during the registration/re-enrollment process with the options you selected. You will notice at the beginning of July you will be opted in for text messaging. If you would like to opt out of text messages simply reply STOP to the text from 67585. You can also enter the code 67585 with the message STOP to block any text messaging. Please note, if opting out, you will not receive texts regarding emergencies on campus.
Email Communications
If you know of parents who are not receiving these communications, please ask them to check their junk/promotions email folders, and then email bmcdonald@archwaytrivium.org for assistance.
You can also find ALL school-wide communications on our website on the Latest News page.
