Greetings!
For us, October has been a month of focusing on our marriage, though it is not our anniversary. We flew to Florida to enjoy some time together at a one-on-one purpose focussed marriage retreat, before going to the beach, then getting certified as Marriage Coaches ourselves (more on that another time). This past May, Greg and I celebrated our 37th wedding anniversary. If you know our story, you will agree our marriage is a true testimony to the power of God who rescued and restored what was lost and broken, 16 years into our marriage. We are so grateful and desire to help strengthen and restore other marriages and families to help them find purpose for their future!
God gets all the glory as we recently shared our healing story to a group of 40 married couples in Florida. Afterwards, we saw many couples confess, forgive and choose to fight for their marriages, as they allowed others to surround them in prayer. So, I thought some of our readers might also benefit from hearing the details of how 21 years ago, Greg responded to God in repentance and I responded to Greg with forgiveness. Our marriage not only survived, but is still thriving. This is GOOD NEWS!
When the world would encourage divorce, God had a better word for us to cling to. Perhaps you have given up hope due to addictions or struggles in your relationship, or you find it hard to forgive someone who has caused hurt and harm to you. No matter what your story is, God is in the details and the message He has for you is the same as it was and continues to be for us. He offers hope for you too. This is GOOD NEWS!
