Stewardship Season is Here
Connecting to God, One Another, and Our Neighbors

A stewardship campaign is necessarily about financial gifts. Just as importantly, it is about relationships: the ways we are connected to God, one another, and our neighbors. Dia de los Muertos
Sunday, November 1
Bring photos of loved ones passed to be placed on the ofrenda next Sunday as the Cathedral community celebrates Día de los Muertos, a day of remembrance and a celebration of the life of the deceased. The holiday is celebrated in many parts of the world, especially in Central and South America where families and loved ones go to the resting place of the deceased and clean the area where the loved one is buried. Families gathered around an ofrenda often pray or reflect upon the life of the deceased. Other common sights include sugar skulls and pan de muerto (bread of the dead), which is a sweet, flavored bread

Sacrament of Holy Baptism
Sunday, November 1

Baptisms are traditionally held at the Easter Vigil, the Day of Pentecost, All Saint's Day, and the Feast of the Baptism of our Lord. Please connect with clergy or with the parish office as soon as possible if you or someone you know would like to be welcomed into Christ's Body, the church. In baptism we receive new life through the Holy Spirit and the forgiveness of sins. Baptism is the foundation for all future church participation and ministry.
