Upcoming Events at SHS

Sherman High School will hold their open house on Thursday, October 17 from 5:30-7 p.m.


On the same night (10/17) juniors and seniors will have the opportunity to attend College 101 with their family from 6-8 p.m. in the SHS Auditorium. Important information will be shared including FAFSA and college application timelines, as well as presentations by Austin College, Grayson College and SHS Counselors on how to complete a college application, write an essay, create a resume and more!

👻 Join SHS for Spooky Fun at Trunk or Treat 🍭

Join Sherman High School's National Honor Society and Student Council on Tuesday, October 29 for their annual Trunk or Treat event! There will be costumes, games and LOTS of candy for all the little ghouls and goblins in the back parking lot of Sherman High School from 5:30-7 p.m. We'll see you there!

Event Connects Families with Special Education Resources

Sherman ISD and regional partners will be hosting the Connecting the Dots Expo which connects students with disabilities and their families to valuable community resources on Saturday, October 26. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Sherman High School and will feature breakout sessions addressing different topics and disabilities.

Bearcat Band Starts Contest Season Strong

The Sherman High School Marching Band placed 2nd in the Class 5A Prelims and 7th overall at the Sounds of Fall Marching Contest in Princeton last weekend; a great start to their competition season! Senior Night for the band, Color Guard and Hi-Steppers will be celebrated before tomorrow’s varsity football game at Bearcat Stadium. Kickoff vs. Frisco High School is set for 7 p.m.

Freshman Runner Makes All-District Cross Country Team

Congratulations, Michael Snyder, on being named to the Freshmen All-District Team for the JV Boys at the District 9-5A Championships! 


Congratulations to all our cross country runners on a great season! 

JV, Freshman Bearcats Beat Coyotes

Way to go Freshman and JV Bearcats! Both teams finished strong against Frisco Heritage last week – Freshman finished 26-12 and JV 36-6! 


Tonight they face the Frisco HS Racoons at 5:30 p.m. (Freshman @ SHS, JV @ FHS) – good luck, Bearcats!

Is your 4th-6th grade child struggling to keep up in math or reading?


The Multicultural Family Center is offering free after school tutoring for students who need extra help with reading and math comprehension skills. Limited spaces are available!

Join Austin College and Alpha Phi Omega for a night of treats (no tricks!) with their annual RooBoo event! This is a 25-year tradition of free and safe trick or treating on the Austin College campus.


The theme for this year's event is Witch's Forest!

Round up the kiddos and head to beautiful, historic Downtown Sherman to join Sherman Main Street & Sherman Parks and Recreation for the 10th Annual Trick or Treat on Travis Street!


This free, public event will be outside and booths will line Travis Street from Wall to Lamar, and around Courthouse Square on Houston and Crockett.
