We are thrilled to announce a significant step forward in our commitment to supporting individuals experiencing homelessness in Montgomery County. Resources for Human Development (RHD), in partnership with Montgomery County, will open a new year-round shelter in Lansdale in the first half of 2025.
This new facility will provide a safe and supportive environment for up to 20 individuals. Currently, Lansdale has an estimate of 27 to 38 individuals experiencing homelessness daily. This shelter aims to reduce homelessness in Lansdale by up to 75% and provide comprehensive support services. Services provided to the participants are child care, physical and mental health support, employment training, public benefits assistance, and veterans' services.
