2026 Content and Convergence Committee Applications are Open!


We are pleased to share that we are looking to grow our Convergence team in an effort to continue to expand and improve the Convergence experience for our attendees, exhibitors, and speakers.


At this time, the following two positions are open for application.


  • Convergence Committee Co Chair (2026, San Francisco) leading into Convergence Chair (2027, Long Beach)
  • Convergence Content Co-Chair


The time required for each volunteer position will change depending on the time of year:


  • Convergence Committee Co-Chair: Ongoing throughout the year
  • Content Co-Chair: Recruitment and planning of content occurs in the Spring and Summer with a peak in September and October.

Convergence Committee Co-Chair (2026, San Francisco) leading into Convergence Chair (2027, Long Beach)


This is a 2-year commitment. Minimum Qualifications include: 


  • Active CSHA membership
  • Attendance at a minimum of 1 CSHA convention in the past 5 years
  • Willingness to commit to a 2-year process 
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Availability for an interview with CSHA Leadership and Management


Roles & Responsibilities include but aren't limited to:


Year 1:


  • Shadowing current Convergence Chair
  • Attending planning meetings when necessary 
  • Advise on convention theme for following year 


  Year 2:


  • Collaborate with management and Convergence Committee on convention planning, including, but not limited to: Sourcing Keynote Speaker, Oversee Small Business Marketplace Applications, Generate ideas for social events 
  • Attend monthly planning meetings (June-December)
  • Attend bi-weekly planning meetings (January-Mid-February) 
  • Attend weekly meetings (Mid-February-convention)
  • Provide support and training to incoming Convergence Chair


Convergence Content Co-Chair 


This is a 1-year commitment with training starting as early as late April 2025. Minimum Qualifications include: 


  • Active CSHA membership
  • Attendance at a minimum of 1 CSHA convention in the past 5 years
  • Willingness to commit to a 1-year process 
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills 
  • Availability for an interview with CSHA Leadership and Management
  • Experience with Excel and/or Google Workspace is a plus
  • The ability to stay on for a two year term is preferred to allow the incoming co-chair to be trained


Roles & Responsibilities (Please note, the responsibilities outlined below is an overview of the role. All responsibilities are split between two content co-chairs):


  • Monitor submission collections 
  • If needed, recruits additional content and speakers 
  • Monitors peer review process 
  • Reviews discrepant proposal scores when needed
  • Assists with other co-chair in scheduling of conference sessions and makes schedule adjustments when needed 
  • Builds out space grid for convention 
  • Assigns concessions for invited speakers
