Compliance Injunction Reinstated for the Corporate Transparency Act
What You Need to Know
The injunction issued by the district court in Texas Top Cop Shop, Inc. regarding the Corporate Transparency Act (CTA) is once again in effect as of December 26, 2024.
As a result, reporting companies are NOT currently required to file beneficial ownership information with FinCEN. Reporting companies may continue to voluntarily submit beneficial ownership information reports.
AAHOA encourages all members to stay informed about the CTA's beneficial ownership reporting requirements.

U.S. RevPAR -13.2% y/y last week; Tough comp from January school break + MLK holiday shift. LA wildfire impact.
As Truist Securities wrote, “Overall U.S. RevPAR was -13.2% y/y for the week ending 1/11/2025, per STR/ CoStar, below the prior week's result of +14.9% y/y and below the trailing 10-week average of +5.0% y/y. Last week's results were impacted by several factors, mostly tough comps. There was lighter business travel last week as we forecasted in our December RevPAR Roadmap note given a later January school break and the continued lag of BT following a major holiday. The weekend comped against MLK weekend last year (calendar shift). In SF, the major healthcare conference shifted a week later in 2025. However, LA results were positively impacted by wildfire displacement. Upscale RevPAR: -15.6% y/y; Upper Midscale RevPAR: -10.6% y/y”.
