Letter from the President
Dear Alumna,
On August 25, we welcomed our young women back to Edison Highway for the 87th school year in Catholic High history! The Fall season is a busy time at Catholic High as we invite alumnae, parents, and prospective families to our amazing school for various fundraising and recruiting events.
We kick off the event season on Thursday, October 23 with our President's Reception, followed by Open House on Saturday, October 25 from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. In November, Catholic High hosts the Under the Big Top Gala on Friday, November 14 from 6:00 - 10:30 p.m. at the Boumi Shrine Center, in addition to our Alumnae Lunch & Memorial Mass on Saturday, November 1.
It is also a joy to see so many Catholic High classes gathering this year for their reunions! I hope you enjoy reconnecting with your Catholic High sisters during these milestone gatherings.
As I begin my 25th and final year as President, it fills me with great pride as a Daughter of Catholic High to watch our students walk through the same halls as we did and emerge as empowered young women! I encourage you to stay connected to Catholic High this year and share the good news of our amazing school. I look forward to seeing you at a Catholic High event in the near future!

| | | Alumnae Shine in Operation Mato Grosso Organization | In recent years, Catholic High has worked closely with Operation Mato Grosso (OMG), an organization that assists various missions in Brazil, Peru, Ecuador, and Bolivia for people living in poverty. Three alumnae, Emporia Culhane '23, Summer Zubey '23, and Jocelyn Zamora '23, are now fully immersed in the OMG mission and volunteered their time at Catholic High's Freshman Retreat this month to speak with the students about this amazing opportunity. We are so proud of Emporia, Summer, and Jocelyn for letting their light shine in the community and inspiring our young women! | | | | Cub Earns Eagle Scout Award | This summer, Charlotte Acks '24 officially earned her Eagle Scout Award, the highest rank in Scouts BSA! Her Eagle Scout Service Project involved outdoor renovations to the ranger facilities at Sandy Shore State Park. Way to go, Charlotte! | | | | The Alumnae Giving Project | |
Hello to all of our alumnae and welcome back for an update on the project! Since we last reported in May, we made a donation of supplies to our overseas military in remote areas, to Angels Supporting Our Troops, food gift cards to the Archdiocese’s Grief Ministry, and 96 backpacks filled with school supplies for needy children. This year, the backpacks went to a shelter, a food pantry, and a Title One school.
In keeping with our school motto "Let Your Light Shine," we will work toward our largest outreach by giving Christmas gifts to children and senior citizens living at or below the poverty level this year. Please help us to make this special time of year memorable to those who are less fortunate!
Fondly,

Seniors in Ms. Stepanov's Sports Medicine Basics course completed their first Sports Medicine Lab this month in the Fitness Center!
