A New Ambassador Animal

The Zoo’s newest Ambassador Animal is a young female opossum named Pipperment Blossom Opossum! She was found in the wild with an injury and rehabilitated by a licensed wildlife rehabilitator. However, when it came time to release her, she was too friendly, and didn’t avoid people. It’s important for wild animals to steer clear of humans, so the decision was made to find her a safe home.

Pipperment Blossom Opossum will visit programs at the Zoo and off-site, and help us teach conservation. We’re so thrilled to have her here at the Zoo!
