All day long, Jim's team would repeatedly need to reach for their tools across his company's bulky work benches, putting strain on their backs and necks, affecting their helth and productivity.

Jim did some research and discovered Robotunits ergonomic workstations. He reached out to automation partner Applied Automation, who introduced him to workstation offerings made from highly customizable modular aluminum extrusion.

Thanks to the high degree of standardization of these extrusion components, all elements can be easily combined, allowing maximum possibilities with minimal components. Not to mention, the aluminum is durable and lightweight yet very strong. After the Applied Automation team designed and fully assembled the workstations, Jim's team is not only benefitting from better posture and reduced injuries, but also higher productivity and satisfaction.

Significantly Increase Your Mobile Robot's Payload

Transport more weight with a mobile robot than ever before

The new ROEQ TMS-C800-1500 top module combined with the ROEQ S-Cart800-1500 can transport up to 1500kg on the MiR1000 and MiR1350, and up to 800kg on the MiR500 or MiR600.

Using this solution, the robots can pick up and drop off in free space, as well as handle different sized goods on multiple missions within the same setup. Between loads, the cart can be maneuvered by personnel.

  • Large cargo area for large loads - e.g. stringer-type US pallets
  • Traction kit included for reliable performance
  • The S-Cart1500W provides tilt stability for safe transport of goods
  • I/O Kit allows connection of 3rd party equipment like light towers, etc.
  • Mounting holes for 3rd party equipment

CASE STUDY: Revolutionizing Dairy Operations

Ornua's collaborative palletizing solution

_______________________________________________

Ornua, a leading Irish dairy cooperative, wasn't churning out the efficiency they desired. Their palletizing process, involving manually and repetitively moving a variety of heavy dairy products, was a recipe for employee strain and reduced productivity.

Faced with labor shortages and increasing demand, Ornua turned to automation. They worked with Robotiq to implement an automated palletizing solution, focusing on improving these challenges. This collaborative robot integrated seamlessly into their existing operations, eliminating the need for isolated, cumbersome automation systems.

Implementing an automated palletizing solution brought these results:

  • Reduced RSI: Physically demanding tasks were taken over by the cobot, significantly reducing the risk of injury. No work-related accidents reported after automation.
  • Increased productivity: A 30% boost in palletizing efficiency resulted in a smoother, faster production flow.
  • Happier Employees: Freed from the physical strain, employees reported increased satisfaction and morale. They also could concentrate on higher value-added tasks.
