Associate Selfies Raise Funds in GSF Wellness Program “Connect with Community” Challenge
In late 2021, GSF associates snapped selfies while volunteering more than 500 hours serving their communities and submitted more than 30 shots of their volunteerism in action to raise nearly $6,000 in total funds for their local GSF Foundation (GSFF) committees. Part of GSF’s series of quarterly Wellness Program challenges, associates showed their GSFF pride by wearing a Foundation shirt, hat, or pin in their community or during a GSFF activity.

“How inspiring to see our dedicated associate volunteers out in the communities where we live and work, giving back and earning more funding for the local Foundation programs that they choose and organize to support their neighbors in need. Giving our time, talent, and treasure together truly lifts our own spirits and benefits our own wellness, just as much as it helps the children and families who need the uplifting support that we provide through the GSF Foundation.”

– Tess McAnena, Executive Director, GSF Foundation

GSF Foundation Warms Up Communities with Coats for Kids this Winter
Several GSF Foundation Committees have partnered with local schools and nonprofits this winter to help kids stay warm, healthy, and in school. Foundation teams from GSF Opelika, Alabama and QCD Seattle, Washington have collectively donated total of 140 coats to local children in their communities in recent months.

“Winter is an especially difficult season for families experiencing financial hardship, and Coats for Kids ensures that at-risk children stay warm when temperatures drop. With severe snow storms hitting many areas of the U.S. this year, Coats for Kids has been more important than ever in supporting our neighbors in need.”

Sharing Your Stories
In late 2021, the QCD Denver Foundation team partnered with the Denver Dream Center to provide basketballs to at-risk children in the community. Volunteers distributed the contributions during the nonprofit's Hoops for Hope event, which also included a training camp for local youth at the Ball Arena, home of the Denver Nuggets.
“The work that Denver Dream Center does to ensure every child or family is taken care of is truly inspiring. Partnering with them was an honor as their mission falls right in line with that of the GSF Foundation. We look forward to working with them again in the future to improve the quality of life for children and families in need here in Denver.”
