ABOUT THE FILM

In 2015 a galaxy of stars—including Tony Kushner, Austin Pendleton, and Phillip Lopate, and others — came together at NYC's Town Hall to pay tribute to the great theater critic, playwright, and Brecht translator, Eric Bentley. The film Honoring Eric Bentley: A Centennial Tribute Concert documents this celebration of his 100th year, which also featured the orchestral world premiere of composer Darius Milhaud and Bentley's Songs for Mother Courage. The film's had numerous screenings at movie theaters including NYC's New Plaza Cinema, Boston's Somerville Theatre, and Kino Babylon in Berlin, Germany.
