Autumn Outdoor Labyrinth Walk and Eucharist, Saturday, Nov. 18, at the Broenner Home, 155 Warren Lane.
Experience the ancient prayer practice of walking the labyrinth, a special form of embodied prayer that dates back some 4,000 years. The labyrinth will be open to walk beginning at 10:30 a.m. with an optional program from 1 to 2:30 p.m., followed by time to walk the labyrinth or spend time in prayer outdoors and ending with Eucharist on the grounds at around 3:30 p.m. Reaching the labyrinth requires walking down a relatively steep hill and may pose issues for those with mobility needs. An indoor labyrinth walk is currently being planned for Holy Week.

Congratulations to all the St. James Habitat Builders! We did a great job of moving Kim's house one step further toward reality by putting up all exterior and interior walls, adding top plates, and building rafters and trusses. A great team of 15 proudly represented St. James in the best possible way. Click the button below to see photos of the excitement!

Our food collection in November supports the Interfaith Assistance Ministry (IAM) Holiday Food Drive. We need seasonal food items to help those in need share in the joy of a special Thanksgiving meal in their home. On Nov. 19, we will have a blessing of the cans before delivering the donations. Food received after that will be delivered at the end of the month for use during the December holidays. Pick up a purple “St. James Recycles” bag in the narthex or reception area of the parish hall, and return it filled with any of the following needed items: | |

Stewardship Tip from the Creation Care Ministry: Reduce, Reuse, and…Recycle. Keep in mind that this triad is a set of priorities: reducing waste is the top priority and reusing materials second priority. Recycling resources is the third and final option—after reducing and reusing have been considered.

What a fabulous and blessed Commitment Sunday! We are so grateful for all the ways God is working at St. James and in parishioners' lives. We give thanks to our Stewardship Team for such an amazing job with this year's campaign, organizing speakers, writing thank you notes, and hosting a delicious and celebratory Commitment Sunday brunch after worship. A special thanks to Bob Coffey for photographing this celebration.
