UPPER SCHOOL AMBASSADORS PAINT A VIBRANT PICTURE OF HIGH SCHOOL LIFE AT LAGUNA

Last Friday, nine Upper School students from TEDx, athletics, journalism, theater, STEM, Student Council, and Humanities led an assembly for the seventh and eighth grade students to talk about life as a high school student. Some of the words they used to describe Laguna's Upper School were friendship, collaborative, academic, and community, emphasizing that high school is a time to try new things and Laguna is a great place to do that.

UPDATED COVID GUIDELINES

The SB County Education Office released the latest guidelines to local administrators this week. Please note the corrected recommendations from Tuesday's Owl You Need to Know.
  • Positive COVID cases with symptoms must isolate for 24 hours from symptom onset. Positive cases without symptoms do not have to isolate.
  • Even if they are still testing positive, students and staff may return after 24 hours if symptoms are mild and resolving, and if they have been fever-free for 24 hours without medication.
  • For students who tested positive, masks are recommended, but not required, through the end of day 10. For faculty and staff who tested positive, masks are required through the end of day 10.

Yesterday, the Boys Varsity Basketball team was on fire winning 67-32 over Villanova at home. This puts the Owls in a 9-5 overall lead, remaining undefeated in league play 4-0. A particularly impressive play by Charlie Sheldon '24 nearly outscoring Villanova by himself! Shout out also to Ganden Walker '24, Eka Nayak '24, and Carson Stewart '25. Go owls!
