A Night to Remember

The Michael A. Guideo Theater in Dearborn recently hosted a musical event that will linger in the memories of attendees for a long time. The National Arab Orchestra concert was a resounding success, showcasing the talent of singers Hela Melki and Salah El Kurdi, under the expert guidance of Maestro Michael Ibrahim.

The evening unfolded with an enchanting performance by Melki and El Kurdi, whose voices cast a spell over the audience from the very first note. Also performing were two choirs, students from Dearborn and Fordson High Schools and the NAO Community Choir, whose collective voices resonated throughout the theater. Joined by 15 guest musicians, including a brass section complete with kettle drums, harp, and piano, the National Arab Orchestra delivered a brilliant performance.

In recognition of their unwavering support for cultural exchange and understanding, the Building Bridges Award was presented to Comerica Bank, whose generosity played a pivotal role in bringing the concert to fruition. Hassan Melhem, VP-External Affairs at Comerica, accepted the award.

The event drew attendees from far and wide, with 27 individuals making the journey from Houston to partake in the musical festivities. The packed audience laughed, cried and thoroughly enjoyed the entire evening.
