NASA ARSET Online Training: An Introduction to Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) and Its Applications

November 6, 13, and 20, 2024

NASA Applied Remote Sensing Training (ARSET) is hosting a webinar that will introduce participants to synthetic aperture radar (SAR) and common applications.

Unlike optical remote sensing, SAR allows for both day and night monitoring of Earth's surface as well as unobstructed tracking through cloud cover. Additionally SAR is able to penetrate through vegetation, soil, and snow cover allowing for a wide number of applications.

The webinar will introduce SAR, explore common applications, and discuss openly available sources of SAR data and the existing tools and software to analyze it.

2024 PACE Applications Workshop

December 8, 2024

Did you know that NASA’s newly launched PACE mission provides novel potential for advancing terrestrial remote sensing applications with the world’s only global, hyperspectral observations of land nearly every day, plus advanced aerosol & cloud data products?

Learn more at the 2024 PACE Applications Workshop on December 8th in Washington DC, 1 day prior to the AGU Meeting (not affiliated with AGU). Attendees will learn about PACE’s aquatic, terrestrial, and atmospheric science and applications capabilities, plus participate in networking and community-building sessions. Join us for this informative and interactive event!
