Our 9th Save of Christmas

On the ninth Save of Christmas, we present Trouble. At 15 years old, Trouble and his brother Sasha found themselves at a shelter — a place that can be especially hard for senior cats to find a home. It’s tough enough to adopt out one senior, but adopting two bonded seniors together can seem nearly impossible. While we weren’t sure if Trouble and Sasha were truly bonded, we knew we had to step in to help them and keep them together if they were.

When they arrived at JSCR, we learned they weren’t as close as we had hoped. Despite sharing a home at our largest foster location, Hannah’s House, they spent little time together. After some time at Hannah’s House, Sasha found her forever home, and Trouble moved in with his foster mom, Myra.

Myra quickly discovered Trouble wasn’t just a typical senior cat — he’s one of the most affectionate cats she’s ever met. She’s fallen deeply in love with him, and Trouble has blossomed in her care. He may be 15 years old, but his heart is as big as ever.

Recently, Trouble faced some dental issues, and after a procedure that resulted in the loss of many teeth, Myra is happy to report he’s feeling much better and is eating well again! It’s wonderful to see this sweet senior recovering and thriving in his loving foster home.

Trouble is proof senior cats still have plenty of love to give. None of this would be possible without your generous support. Can you make a donation from our wishlist to help us continue supporting senior cats like Trouble? Your kindness helps provide the medical care, food, and supplies that are essential to giving our seniors fulfilling lives. Your support makes all the difference!
