Share the Plate: Action in Montgomery (AIM)
AIM runs free legal clinics offering first-time consultations for immigrants — a service that's needed right now, since immigrants often face urgent legal questions and legal advice can be both expensive and hard to find reliably. Cedar Lane, along with other congregations, is partnering with AIM to support these clinics and money raised this Sunday and next will be shared with AIM specifically to help fund these legal clinics.
You may give online (now with Google Pay), via Paypal, by texting 'CLUUC $[Amount]" to 73256, or by mailing it to Cedar Lane.

On the theme of Interdependence, Lori Stone (they/them) notes "A individual can only sing a note as long as their lung capacity can support it. A choir can carry a note forever, if individuals keep singing while others take a breath: practicing interdependence through a technique called staggered breathing."
Summer ValUUes is a whole-congregation project to find our shared UU values in the world around us. Check out all our photos at cedarlane.org/summer-valuues

Donations needed for Afghan families we support
Two young Afghan boys starting K and pre-school need school supplies - their backpacks need glue sticks, a black dry erase marker, crayons and 6x9 (or so) plastic boxes with lids.
Food and cleaning supplys are needed to supplement greatly reduced SNAP benefits. Thank you for thinking about them when you shop. There was lots of food donated last week and it was a huge blessing.
Thank you to all who donate, your gifts are appreciated! Please leave donations in the chapel hallway box.
